Steampunk Party Boots 18 Inch Doll Sewing Pattern

You can make your doll some Edwardian inspired Steampunk boots with this digital PDF sewing pattern. THIS PATTERN WILL ONLY FIT AMERICAN GIRL® DOLLS AND OUR GENERATION® DOLLS. This pattern is part of the KeLibu Steampunk Separates Collection and can be mixed and matched with other KeLibu Steampunk patterns.
Every outfit needs fantastic footwear to finish it off.

These boots were inspired by Edwardian boots and given a steampunk twist!

This is a challenging pattern with an Advanced Intermediate rating and not a good choice if you don’t have much shoe making experience!

Skill Level: Advanced Intermediate

Tools and Materials:

• 9 x 6½ inches of leather or faux leather/vinyl*
  
• 16 mini brads or mini rivets (4mm)
  
• 4½ inches of thin hook and loop tape
  
• 3½ x 3½ inches of light-colored fabric for the inner soles
  
• 3½ x 3½ inches 2mm foam for inner soles
  
• 3½ x 3½ inches thin cardboard (such as cereal box) for inner soles
  
• 3½ x 3½ inches 2mm foam OR basswood for outer soles
  
• Doll or foot lasts to put uppers on when attaching the soles
  
• 16 inches of waxed cotton cording (or other thin cording) to match your boots
  
• Glue of your choice (see pattern for more details)

• Leather or microtex needle
  
• Matching thread
  
• Awl or 5/64 leather punch
  
• Rivet setter and hammer if using rivets
  
• Optional – less than 10 inches of ⅜ inch wide ribbon or twill tape if using brads
  
• Optional – small clips to hold pieces in place while glue is drying
