This classic but simple skirt is very easily made from a quarter yard of fabric (quilter's fat quarters work great!) in woven cotton or light denim.
Choose from three easy variations- make the skirt center panel from matching or contrasting fabric, try an easy pleated version, or layer lace for a trendy look. The design options are unlimited!

Skill Level: Very Easy
Tools and Materials:
- ¼ yard of fabric (quilting cotton or other lightweight fabric)
- Use one fabric or two. A fat quarter will work perfectly.
- Optional: Scrap of contrast fabric for center panel (minimum 5x5 in.)
- 3-4 inches of hook and loop tape
- Basic sewing supplies (machine, scissors, thread, pins)
- Optional: 6x12 fabric and 45 inches of 1/2 - 3/4 inch lace for layered lace or pleated panel
